Tribal Consultation

U.S. Attorney Damon P. Martinez and members of his staff hosted the 2016 District of New Mexico Tribal Consultation.  The Consultation was open to all tribal leaders, officers, social service providers and advocates, and others who work or live in New Mexico’s tribal communities.  The purpose of the Consultation is to continue to promote strong government-to-government relationships, and to address the public safety challenges in New Mexico’s Native American communities.  The Consultation provided the U.S. Attorney with the opportunity to get input and guidance into how the U.S. Attorney’s Office and the federal law enforcement community can work with tribal leaders and tribal law enforcement officers to address these challenges.
