The Office of Operations coordinates the Division’s civil and criminal investigations and litigation and related policies and procedures.
The Office of Operations includes:
- Premerger Notification Unit and FTC Liaison Office: Coordinates with the FTC according to established clearance procedures for handling matters.
- Paralegal Unit: Provides paralegal support on request to investigations and cases handled in Washington and the regional offices.
- Office of Professional Development (Training Unit): Provides attorneys and economists with resources for ongoing training and development.
- Citizen Complaint Center: Processes complaints about possible antitrust violations from the public and, when appropriate, forwards complaints to the appropriate office or section within the Division.
