I am writing because I am concerned about  America's food/seed situation. I strive to feed my family healthy, non-chemical, non-genetically modified food that is grown with sustainable farming practices. I am concerned about the earth and effects of pesiticides, gmo and artificial ingredients in our systems and the longterm effects it will have on our bodies. As you know, it takes many many years to see the effects these issues have on our bodies but big business isnt waiting that long to see the aftermath and the government or regulating agencies are increasingly more lax with standards. Currently, I have to drive all over town to three different stores to get this high priced "organic" food. It is a big part of my weekly schedule but I feel its that important to get the best nutritional value for my family. I am also worried about the impact/influence big business and money may have on the quality standards of organic food. Reading that standards may be lessened for lobbying(ie payoff) by big corporations is outragious. Money is not the most important thing here. Quality of life is! I am so tired of hearing how our government and other big business are constantly influenced by money. Its shameful and disgusting and unacceptable. Please help us live and eat real, healthy and moderately priced food.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment.

Sincerely,

Kristine Allen
