I am writing because I am concerned about the monopoly by large corporations in agricultural markets.
Monsanto controls the majority of seeds and when their seeds happen to pollinate/grow in other farmers' land, these innocent farmers are sued - even as a layperson and consumer, I can see that is total injustice on the part of the small growers and bullying on the part of Monsanto.
It is a fact that corporate lobbyists and government regulators are sometimes the same people - how can these people be properly accountable for their actions?
In the long-run, we must feed our families naturally grown food the way nature intended. Introducing a bacteria or a virus in order to introduce some "pesticide free" gene into a perfectly mother nature seed is ridiculous - look at the number of people sick these days, even children have more health problems, what about them in the future and their children?
Monsanto, and other big corporations cannot "dictate" the food market any more.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment.
