|Subject:||The food we eat|
Dear Department of Justice,
I am very concerned about the huge corporate agricultural businesses who are having more and more of an effect on the type and quality of the food we eat. I am very affected by chemicals in my food and do not want to eat genetically modified foods, either. I either grow my own food or go to the farmer's market in our city because I don't trust the food that is sold in our grocery stores. I am also concerned about the small farmer struggling to make a living while the big corporations make record profits.
It is more trouble for me (more time and gasoline), and more work to drive across town once a week to the open air market and to grow my own food and not shop at the nearby grocery store.
I also am very concerned about the effects the big corporations are having on the environment and the polluted water and chemical laden soil and toxins they leave behind with the farming practices they espouse.
Please do what you can to limit the scope of influence that the large agribusinesses have on our food quality, and on our environment.
