I am writing because I am concerned about the lack of competition in agricultural markets.I'm writing because as many parents I'm concerned in what I put in the plate of my children, I'm writing to you because I want to be more informed with labels of what is in the food that I eat, and I'm writing for the government to push this monopolies to stop making important decisions that are affecting the health of this nation.
I'm writing you because I want the cows to be fed grass so that my daughter seats at the table and has less chances to get e-coli. I want to know when I'm buying gmo foods. I want to have the government enforce laws to protect us, to put more funding on researching the side effects of ingesting gmo foods, I want the fda to keep a tight control on the feeding and slaughtering of the animals, and if needed I want those to be closed down to prevent people from dying from preventable diseases or infections.
I want more grants for small farmers, redistribution of wealth does not have to be so difficult to understand or achieve.
I'm a concerned american, terrified by the options we are having to make because of this corporate interests. There is a limit between profit making corporations and unethical conduct of corporations, the goverment is to enforce this rules, not only at the court, but at the executive branch, enforcing control and at the legislative level, making laws and rules that make happier and healthier americans.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment.
