I am writing because I am concerned about the lack of competition in agricultural markets. Monsanto and Beyer have unbalanced the soil, the water, and the health of our nation by introducing plants that REQUIRE 4X the amount of pesticides that a non GMO plant would ordinarily get smothered with. They are litigators, forcing small and organic farmers into bankruptcy over seed that flies on the wind, or thru bird poop, into their fields. The unnatural fact that, by contract, seed can't be reused, has forced Indian farmers into suicide if a crop goes wrong, succumbing to drought.  They have bought up small seed companies and seed-sorting machines and, by such means. practically enforced purchase of their non-reusable seed. If you believe God created anything, these illegally-patenting, anti-life firms shouldn't be allowed to subvert anti-trust monopoly laws.

Separate to this, we need food labeling laws which give you info on where it grew, what chemicals are on it, and if it's genetically modified. We need REAL food-safety in this country, considering the amounts of cancer and other serious immune-deficiency diseases extent here.  Mercury in the fish, pesticides pouring into the ocean from every river - you do the math. We need Govt-subsidized Organic, is what we need, but short of that, we need anti-trust laws impinging on the GMO Hitlers.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to comment.

Sincerely,

Beate Nilsen
