I have been concerned for a while that there are things you are not aware of. First and formost..... Real Estate is competivite.
Where else do you get a PROFESSIONAL, whom has to under go hours of classtime, tests, documenting, finger printing and reviews every two years that do not charge a PROFESSIONAL FEE?
If you were to put the same constraints on a lawyer, this would be a moot point. Lawyers can charge whatever fee they so desire. Why can't a PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE AGENT? Or any other professional?
Just because the internet is available for everyone, doesn't mean that we PROFESSIONAL real estate agents HAVE to share our information with the world. We PAY to have this information shared with the world. Why is it that you think that it is due them. Why don't you require CAR DEALERs to have the correct information on the internet. Instead, it is call for pricing. That means that they can charge whatever they want. With real estate, we have set prices on a house, but yet they are negotible. And, why can't we set a PROFESSIONAL FEE? Just like the lawyers? If I'm stupid enough prostitue myself and to charge a customer 4% to list and sell his house and only want to make 1% (with half of that going to the broker) why not let me. If I am smart enough to say... HEY..... I am worth what I do and charge whatever I want, why can't I? If I don't want my company name or the names of other companies on the website, that should be MY CHOICE. I am, afterall, paying a great deal of money every year to be a part of a PROFESSIONAL ORGINIZATION. Why don't you go after the lawyers for one and make them do what you are trying to make us do. I am building relationships with the people that calll me. I will be happy to come and speak to you, if you wish..
