Justice Department Marks Two Years Since Launch of the “Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative”

In 2017, the Civil Rights Division’s Immigrant and Employee Rights Section (IER) launched the Protecting U.S. Workers Initiative, which targets, investigates, and brings enforcement actions against companies that discriminate against U.S. workers in favor of temporary visa workers. Over the last two years, IER has secured hundreds of thousands of dollars in back pay and other relief for U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens with work authorization.

I am pleased to present the U.S. Department of Justice Strategic Plan for Information Technology for Fiscal Years (FY) 2019-2021. It reflects our vision for information management and the plan for modernizing IT to equip DOJ staff to better serve American citizens. The goals and strategies set forth in this document will help execute the mission by protecting, advancing, and optimizing DOJ’s capabilities and effectiveness.

Women's History Month: Reflections on Individuals Who Influence Us and DOJ Accomplishments

I recently had the honor of speaking to the FBI as part of their National Women’s History Month Program about the people in my life who have given me the courage to pursue leadership opportunities, as well as on the accomplishments of the FBI, U.S. Attorneys, and Project Safe Neighborhoods. Since 2016, federal prosecutors have significantly increased prosecutions of domestic violence offenders prohibited from possessing a gun, increasing convictions by 160% nationwide.
