On November 28, the ICITAP trained and supported Patrol Police of the Luhansk Region helped deliver humanitarian aid to residents of this recently liberated territory in eastern-most Ukraine.
Today, the Department is excited to announce that we are launching a new and improved version of ADA.gov. Our goal for this revamped website is to better assist people to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as understand their rights and others’ rights, by creating and maintaining a website that is modern and user-centered.
From November 14 to 18, ICITAP conducted two, two-day training programs regarding Forensic Interviewing training to forty (40) male and female officers from the Sri Lankan Police Women & Children’s Bureau who are responsible for conducting investigations involving child abuse, eight (8) Attorney General’s Department Child Abuse Unit prosecutors and seven (7) representatives from the Child Protection Force (a civil society child advocacy group).
On November 17, ICITAP partnered with the Iberoamerican Academy of Criminalistics and Forensic Studies (AICEF) to present a webinar on Forensic Intelligence delivered in Spanish.
From November 5 to 11, ICITAP-Philippines led a delegation of the Philippines National Police (PNP) Internal Affairs Service (IAS) on a U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)-funded study tour to Los Angeles, CA, and Baltimore, MD.
Last week, we lost a pioneer in the disability rights movement. Lois Curtis, one of the two plaintiffs in the landmark case Olmstead v. L.C ., died of pancreatic cancer on Nov. 3, 2022.
On October 25, the ICITAP-Indonesia mission provided an update on its assistance to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Central Forensic Laboratory (Puslabfor) Quality Management Team (QMT).
On October 20, the ICITAP-Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Mission completed a ten-day Critical Incident Awareness Course for the Special Forces for Protection and Security (SFSP) at the FSF Academy in Riyadh.
