Burden H. Walker

Burden Walker has served as the Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the Consumer Protection Branch since August 2024.  In that capacity, he leads the efforts of the Department of Justice to enforce laws that protect Americans’ health, safety, economic security, and identity integrity, through both criminal and affirmative civil enforcement cases across the country.

Since 2017, Burden has served the Department in a variety of roles, including Assistant United States Attorney, Deputy Associate Attorney General, and Senior Counselor to the Attorney General.

Burden is a graduate of Harvard Law School and clerked for Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court and the Honorable Stephen F. Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
