On May 10, ICITAP provided technical assistance and guidance to mitigate gender-based and domestic violence by promoting an inter-institutional network called RECIVI. The network integrates members of the Dominican National Police Specialized Directorate of Attention to Women and Domestic Violence and members of the public ministry affiliated with gender-based, Domestic and Sexual Violence Unit in Santo Domingo West and National District. The collaboration and partnership of the two entities resulted in a procedure for registering arrest warrants. The data base facilitates proper monitoring of outstanding warrants by ensuring that they are served promptly. This procedure, which will be evaluated to measure effectiveness, is designed to improve both warrant service and service delivery to reduce Domestic and Sexual violence, protect vulnerable populations, and prevent revictimization.
