On May 3, 2022, the Federal News Network aired an interview with Deputy Director for the State Department’s Bureau of Counterterrorism Programs Laurie Freeman and ICITAP Acting Assistant Director Heather Rauch. The interview focused on how the two agencies have teamed up through the Engaging Multinational Police Women on Equality and Rights (EMPoWER) program to increase the number of women in counterterrorism efforts around the world. It highlighted the programs objectives, recent successes, and plans for the future.
