Mexico: ICITAP Renews its Forensic Capacity Building Agreement with the Office of the Attorney General

On July 8, ICITAP sponsored a virtual conference to discuss the Office of the Attorney General (Fiscalía General de la República/FGR)’s reengagement with its forensic capacity-building program.  Following ICITAP’s comprehensive presentation of its activities, the FGR agreed to coordinate efforts with ICITAP on the accreditation of the fingerprints and CSI disciplines in Mexico City and the accreditation of the six FGR regional laboratories. In Mexico, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
