ICITAP Participates in 2021 International Association of Chiefs of Police Conference
On September 13, 2021, ICITAP concluded its participation at the 2021 International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Conference. The four-day event was originally scheduled to take place in person in New Orleans, Louisiana; however, due to the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, the conference was shifted to virtual this year. Despite its online delivery, the 2021 IACP conference provided ICITAP’s 52 international participants representing 15 counties access to the latest resources and critical expertise necessary for senior-level law enforcement managers to improve operations at their home agency. This premier event attracted professionals from all over the world and provided invaluable networking opportunities with officers from a variety of fields. The opportunities presented at IACP supports U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of State, and U.S. Embassy initiatives in expanding rule of law with host-country partners. ICITAP also actively participated in IACP’s International Managers of Police Academy & College Training (IMPACT) Section business meeting, during which ICITAP’s Strategic Communications Advisor was elected as the new IMPACT Chair.
