Engaging and Building Relationships with Transgender Communities Web-Based Training
Are you in law enforcement? Would you like to build better relationships with your local transgender communities? Do you want to learn more about how officers can best work with transgender people?
CRS’s Engaging and Building Relationships with Transgender Communities web-based training is a program to help law enforcement officers improve awareness and understanding of transgender communities and individuals, in order to effectively interact and build positive relationships.
This three-hour interactive, self-paced program allows officers to complete the training independently.
The training can help law enforcement:
- Improve communication with transgender communities.
- Enhance public safety for transgender people.
- Increase awareness of civil rights-related issues.
- Identify misconceptions about transgender people.
- Share tools, processes, and best practices for collaboration.
- Develop a community engagement plan.
