Mask Guidance for DOJ Employees and Contractors

From the Assistant Attorney General for Administration, July 27, 2021:

Earlier today, CDC issued updated guidance on masks in public for fully vaccinated people.  This evening, OMB provided updated guidance to Federal workplace safety guidance .  Effective immediately and no later than the opening of business Wednesday, July 28, 2021:

  • In areas of substantial or high community transmission, all Federal employees, onsite contractors, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask inside of Federal buildings in public. As of today, that includes the Washington, DC area.
  • Federal employees, onsite contractors, and visitors who are not fully vaccinated also need to continue to physically distance consistent with CDC guidance.
  • We will, as soon as possible, post signs and post information online on agency websites making clear what masking requirements apply in each Federal facility.

Thank you for all you do to support DOJ’s vital mission.  We will continue to update you when we receive additional guidance.
