Today we commemorate the 69th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision, the unanimous Supreme Court ruling that overturned the “separate but equal” doctrine in America’s public schools.  Nearly 70 years after the court declared racially segregated schools unequal and unconstitutional, Brown stands as both a transformative moment in our democracy, and as a promise yet unfulfilled.

On May 8, the largest class to date of the ICITAP-trained and supported Territorial Community Police Officers (TCPO) began training in Vinnytsia, Ukraine.

On April 28, ICITAP’s Women, Peace, and Security & Global Programs Unit provided an update on progress made in Albania by the Association of Women in the Albanian State Police (AWASP) since ICITAP’s Engaging Multinational Police Women on Equality and Rights (EMPoWER) Program deployed to Tirana to help establish AWASP in February 2023. 

On April 26, ICITAP partnered with the Iberoamerican Academy of Criminalistics and Forensic Studies (AICEF) to present the first webinar in a series on Basic Elements of Quality Management Systems of Forensic Institutions delivered in Spanish. 

On April 19, ICITAP, together with the Serbian University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies (UCIPS) and the Ministry of Interior (MOI), conducted a three-day workshop on the topic of corruption suppression within Serbian state agencies.

On March 31, ICITAP-Albania completed the delivery of the Advanced Suspect Interviewing (ASI) for Narcotics Investigations course at the Security Academy in Tirana.
