Thank you, Vice President Rodney Bryant. It is an honor to be with NOBLE here in Cleveland. I would like to begin today by thanking President Brenda Goss Andrews and Executive Director Dwayne Crawford, for inviting me to speak here today and for their leadership and partnership. I would also like to thank the entire Executive Board, Dais, members, and guests here today. Let me also acknowledge that many DOJ colleagues are in attendance.

Thank you for that kind introduction, Jim. It’s a pleasure to be here at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, alongside my Principal Deputy and soon-to-be-Acting Assistant Attorney General Nicole Argentieri, to highlight the Criminal Division’s exceptional work on cyber initiatives and investigations. And indeed, to lift up the tremendous work of our sections, and the people who do it, all in an effort to combat cyber-related criminality here in the United States and across the globe.

Thank you, Kenneth. Today, I’m pleased to announce that we are super-charging the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS) by adding to it another hugely successful Criminal Division team. Beginning this week, we are merging the National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team, or NCET, into CCIPS, creating a single office that consolidates the Criminal Division’s expertise in all aspects of fighting cybercrime.

I am grateful for the opportunity to join the U.S. Department of Justice’s many partners from across government and across the country to discuss our collective efforts to stop scam calls. And I am pleased to share the stage today not only with the FTC, but also with the FCC, as well as distinguished representatives of state attorney’s general offices, including Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul and Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.

Good morning, and thank you for the warm introduction, Keenya. It is my pleasure to be with you all this morning to discuss the federal government’s commitment to addressing racial wealth and homeownership gaps in this country and, specifically, the unique and critical role of the Justice Department in this effort. I want to especially thank the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA) for its leadership on this issue and for organizing this important conference.

As we gather today, rogue nation-states actively seek to undermine the global rules-based order.

Good morning. The United States Department of Justice is proud to stand with our European partners and be among the first to participate in the International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression Against Ukraine (ICPA).

Thank you, U.S. Attorney Esparza. The victims of this human smuggling operation died under horrific circumstances, underscoring the callous disregard smuggling organizations, such as this one, show for human life.
