Now Available Online

The Office of Information Policy's latest revision of the Department of Justice Guide to the Freedom of Information Act is now available online. The 2009 edition contains a newly updated and revised discussion of all aspects of the Freedom of Information Act, as amended by the OPEN Government Act, including the Act's procedural requirements, its exemptions and exclusions, as well as considerations applicable to FOIA litigation.

The 2009 edition of the Department of Justice Guide to the Freedom of Information Act is available online on the Department of Justice's website at http://www.usdoj.gov/oip/foia_guide09.htm. The print version is expected sometime later this month from the Government Printing Office. (posted 8/10/2009).
