Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta Delivers Remarks at the Women in Blue: Improving Public Safety and Transforming Policing Convening

A two day summit titled “Women in Blue: Improving Public Safety and Transforming Policing” was held at the Office of Justice Programs headquarters on September 7 and 8, 2022. The event was a two-day convening of police leaders, researchers, and professional organizations held at OJP to discuss how to best increase the representation of women in police recruit classes to 30% by 2030. On the September 8, the Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta attended to give opening remarks. Attorney General Garland also visited the conference to show his support for this important initiative.
