Attorney General Merrick B. Garland Delivers Remarks on the First Anniversary of the Attack on the Capitol

On January 5, 2022 Attorney General Merrick B. Garland updated the American people on the Justice Department's efforts to hold accountable those responsible for the unprecedented attack on the U.S. Capitol. In remarks to the Justice Department workforce, the Attorney General also reaffirmed the department's unwavering commitment to defend Americans and American democracy from violence and threats of violence.
