The Attorney General discussed the action plan of the U.S.-Mexico Bicentennial Framework, including efforts from the Justice Department in disrupting the supply of fentanyl in communities, preventing transborder crime and illegal trafficking, and pursuing criminal networks - particularly drug cartels.
On Thursday October 13, 2022 Attorney General Merrick B. Garland joined Secretary Antony J. Blinken, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, USAID Administrator Samantha Power, and other senior U.S. government officials at the U.S.-Mexico High-Level Security Dialogue at the U.S. Department of State. U.S. Attorney General Garland joined Secretary Blinken in welcoming their Mexican counterparts to discuss implementation of the U.S.-Mexico Bicentennial Framework for Security, Public Health, and Safe Communities.
