In honor of National Police Week, Attorney General Merrick B. Garland recognized the service and sacrifice of federal, state, local, territorial, and Tribal law enforcement. In addition, the Attorney General Merrick B. Garland, the Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco, and the Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta hosted a roundtable discussion with leaders of law enforcement organizations, with a focus on officer safety and wellness at a time of heightened gun violence. In 2022, Police Week occurred from Wednesday, May 11th through Tuesday, May 17th.
