Sheriff Rahr has spent 31 years with the King County Sheriff's Department, rising through the ranks to become the first woman Sheriff in King County's history. Elected Sheriff in 2005, she was awarded Elected Official of the Year by the Municipal League in 2010 and has become a national leader on procedural justice.
