The Safe Sanctuary Symposium

Thanks you for your interest in the Safe Sanctuary Symposium.  The symposium will focus on emergency preparedness, while equipping places of worship with the necessary tools and resources to develop emergency preparedness plans for their specific congregation and setting.  The symposium will educate participants in several areas, including vulnerability assessments, emergency partners and first responders, communication infrastructure, disaster recovery, and active shooter training.  The symposium will feature presentations from several federal and local agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).  Each attendee must individually register for the symposium by September 30, 2015.  There will be no on-site registration.  All are welcome.  Please register below.

Date, location, and time:  The symposium will take place on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. – 12: p.m., at the Washington Hebrew Congregation, 3935 Macomb Street NW, Washington, DC 20016.
