Information Technology

The Information Technology Section of the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania is comprised of two units: Systems and Litigation Support. These units support the nearly 300 members of the District. We are located at 615 Chestnut Street in Center City Philadelphia. We are currently looking for two high-achieving, highly motivated individuals to assume leadership roles in the Section. In addition to the work of the District, both positions will also be expected to assume a role in the Department’s national priorities and goals.

The first is an IT Manager, whose primary responsibility would be to oversee the entire Section and fine-tune policies, procedures and best practices. As an office, we continue to look forward and expect the successful candidate to have energizing ideas in the areas of e-discovery, document management and records management. The candidate must also have a strong network background and demonstrable litigation support experience.

The second is a Litigation Support Supervisor (link to job listing), whose primary responsibility would be to oversee the Litigation Support Unit. The Unit’s primary responsibilities include investigation, discovery, trial support, reprographics, and presentation support. The Unit utilizes a variety of litigation and investigative-specific software packages; its main focus is Concordance, IPRO, LAW, and Sanction. It is a fast-paced environment, as the Unit support well over 100 trials per year. The Unit has a Supervisor (currently vacant), four Information Technology specialists, a program analyst, and three contract employees.

The Systems Unit’s primary responsibilities include updating and maintaining the network, records management, docketing, end-user support, intra / internet, telephony. The Unit has a Supervisor, three Information Technology Specialists, two docketing technicians, and a contract employee.
