Wachovia Bank

The notice you received in the mail about a court settlement involving Wachovia ank is an important legal document.  You may be entitled to restitution.  That is, you may be entitled to receive money from Wachovia Bank.

Carefully read the notice and all the documents that came with it.  If you have questions, you should go to the following web site set up especially for people like you:  There is also a toll-free number you can call.  It is 1-866-680-6659.

Wachovia Bank - and at least one of its commercial customers - entered into several agreements.  These agreements concern Wachovia Bank's dealings with companies called payment processors.  These payment processors handled financial transactions for telemarketing operations, which operations have been alleged to have been defrauding consumers all over the country.

Our office, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Trade Commission, and private attorneys negotiated the Wachovia Bank agreements.
