• July 31,2024: The magistrate judge has ordered the defendant detained while this case is pending. The defendant can appeal this decision, but there is currently no date for an appeal. This case will proceed with status dates to review evidence. A resolution of this case will likely take many months, but will be posted.
• July 23, 2024: A detention hearing was held. The government asked for the defendant to be held for the pendency of this case. The defense argued the defendant should be released on certain, yet strict conditions. The judge took this matter under advisement and a decision is pending. The defendant will remain in custody until a decision has been made. 
• July 19, 2024: An initial appearance to inform the defendant of his charges was held. Please see link below to our press release for more information on charges. A detention hearing was scheduled for July 23 at 10:30am.
