U.S. v. Matthew Murphy

On March 26, 2019 a complaint was filed against Matthew Murphy with sexual exploitation of a children for posing as a teenage girl using snapchat accounts to extort nude photographs of a minor child.

April 14, 2020- Sentencing scheduled for August 21, 2020 at 10:30 am in courtroom 8 at the John Moakley Federal Courthouse in Boston, MA before Judge Paul Barbadoro

January 23, 2020- Change of plea, Courtroom 8  John Joseph Moakley Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Way, Boston, MA before Judge Paul Barbadoro

September 13, 2019- Pretrials motion hearing scheduled for 11:00 AM at Courtroom 16, John Joseph Moakley Courthouse, 1 Courthouse Way, Boston, MA before Judge Paul Barbadoro

August 13, 2019- Arraignment occurred.  The court has set a tentative trial date for October 1, 2019.

August 8, 2019- A indictment was returned charging the defenant with 5 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. 

March 26, 2019 - Murphy appeared in federal court in Boston and has been detained at this time.
