BRAVE Conducts Sixth “Call In”

Violent crimes typically rise during summer months.  In an effort to curb this spike, the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination (BRAVE) team completed its sixth “call in”.  At this forum, a working group of law enforcement, faith-based organizations and service providers met with at risk youth who are most likely to commit gun violence to set forth a two-part message: (1) gun violence must stop immediately or criminal justice agencies will intervene quickly and forcefully against those responsible; and (2) the working group is there to support the gang members and youth with intensive services and employment.
