USAO-MDLA Contributes to Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine’s Blanket and Clothing Drive for Homeless Veterans

USAO-MDLA contributed to a blanket and clothing drive for homeless veterans sponsored by Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine.  Ella Digby, a physician assistant at  Gulf Coast Occupational Medicine, stated, “Statistics show that one in every four men on the streets has actually served our country and so this winter, we wanted to give back to them.”

USAO-MDLA donated approximately 10 boxes of pants, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, blankets, gloves, and socks.  The items were delivered to the Baton Rouge VA Outpatient Clinic to be distributed to homeless veterans as they seek assistance at the clinic.  Excess donations will be delivered to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans for distribution throughout the Gulf Coast region.
