USAO-MDLA hosts Valor Training in Zachary

USAO-MDLA, along with Zachary Police Department and Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC), hosted Valor Training for frontline law enforcement on April 8, 2015.  Participants gained an understanding of identifying and defusing dangerous situations, procedural justice and policing considerations that address community concerns and enhance the safety of both officers and the people they serve.

The Valor Program was created in 2010 by the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance to help prevent violence against law enforcement officers and ensure officer resilience and survivability following violent encounters during the course of their duties.
