Philip H. Wehby

Mr. Wehby was sworn in as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee in July 2002. He is currently the Deputy Criminal Chief for Firearms and Violent Crime and serve as the Office's Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Coordinator, Anti-Gang Coordinator, and Project Sentry Coordinator.

Prior to coming to the U.S. Attorney's Office, he served as an Assistant District Attorney in Nashville from 1998-2002. During that time, he served as an Assistant in Criminal Court where he prosecuted a wide array of felony cases, including murder, drug trafficking, burglary and assaultive offenses. He also served as an Assistant in the Child Sex Abuse Unit, where he prosecuted offenses related to the physical and sexual abuse of children, including aggravated child abuse and child rape.

Prior to serving as an Assistant District Attorney, he served as the Law Clerk for the Honorable J. Randall Wyatt in the Criminal Court for Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee from 1996-1998. Mr. Wehby receiving his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis, School of Law.
