MOBILE, AL – The United States Attorney’s Office commemorates National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW), April 6-12, 2025, by participating in the Victim Vigil and Information Fair taking place at the Mobile Government Plaza Atrium on April 10 at 6:00 p.m.
This year’s NCVRW theme—Connecting-Kinship-Healing—challenges us to build a world where vital connections are made between victims, survivors, law enforcement, advocates, and our communities. NCVRW challenges all of us to confront and remove barriers to achieving justice for all. No victim or survivor should walk alone. Kinship connects us.
“Crime Victims’ Rights Week serves as reminder to all of us working in the public safety and criminal justice systems why we serve our communities”, said United States Attorney Sean P. Costello. “This year’s 44th NCVRW marks decades of progress in improving the legal standing of crime victims and expanding their access to services.”
NCVRW began in 1981 to honor victims and survivors of crime, to raise awareness of victims’ rights and available services, and to recognize the dedication of those who work with crime victims.
This event is open to the public and members of the press.
