Illinois Men Sentenced to Federal Prison for Drug and Gun Charges

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Four Illinois men were sentenced to federal prison for methamphetamine and firearms-related offenses.

According to public court documents and evidence presented at sentencing, between 2023 and 2024, four men engaged in distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl across the Quad Cities area. In total, more than 15 pounds of methamphetamine and two ounces of heroin containing fentanyl were attributed to the drug trafficking organization.

• On February 10, 2026, Darius Dupree Brown, 22, also known as “Splat” and “Ghost,” of Chicago, Illinois, was sentenced to a five-year prison term, followed by a four-year term of supervised release. Brown pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of a mixture and substance containing heroin.
• On April 6, 2026, Gregory Lionel Carter Jr., 35, also known as “Pooh” and “Junior,” of the Quad Cities, was sentenced to an eight-year prison term, followed by a five-year term of supervised release. Carter pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
• On April 30, 2026, Terrance Donnell Harris, 33, also known as “Rel” and “Grump,” of the Quad Cities, was sentenced to a 27-year prison term, followed by a five-year term of supervised release. Harris pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
• On August 11, 2026, Matayo Antwone Harland Young, 25, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, was sentenced to a 10-year prison term, followed by an eight-year term of supervised release. Young pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime, and illegal possession of a machinegun. At the time of the offense, Young was serving a term of supervised release in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana for a 2021 conviction for bank robbery by force or violence. Young’s term of supervised release was revoked and sentenced to a one-year prison term to run consecutive to his ten-year prison term.

There is no parole in the federal system.
