The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is soliciting applications from qualified persons to serve as court-appointed monitor in connection with a proposed consent decree submitted to the Court for approval in the case of United States v. New York City Housing Authority, 18 Civ. 5213 (WHP). Pursuant to the terms of the consent decree, the Government will propose a monitor for approval by the Court. As set forth at greater length in the consent decree, the monitor will be responsible for the remediation of extensive health and safety deficiencies in NYCHA housing, as well as oversight and reform of NYCHA management, controls and operations. Commencing Tuesday, June 27, 2018, interested parties may submit a NYCHA Monitor Application to USANYS.Monitor@usdoj.gov. Applications must be received by July 11, 2018.
