Michael H. Dettmer United States Attorney - Western District of Michigan 1993 - 2001

Mr. Michael Dettmer is a graduate of Michigan State University and received his law degree from the Wayne State University School of Law in 1971. Mr. Dettmer was a trial lawyer since 1972, specializing in civil litigation and he served as the 59th President of the State Bar in Michigan in 1993 and 1994. Mr. Dettmer was appointed as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Michigan by President Bill Clinton in 1993, and served as the US Attorney until 2001.
