The United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia is hosting two community events this year in observance of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week. The theme for 2018 is Expand the Circle: Reach All Victims. This year’s theme is meant to emphasize the importance of inclusion in victim services and how the crime victims’ field can better ensure that every victim of crime has access to the services and support they need. The two community events planned for Roanoke and Charlottesville are meant to showcase how law enforcement, professional service providers, victims’ rights organizations and communities can work in tandem to reach all victims.
