Federal Investigative Center, Vancouver

In response to concerns about increasing population and corresponding crime in the southwestern counties a Federal Investigative Center was created in Vancouver, Washington. It is the duty station for special agents from ATF, DEA, Customs, Postal Inspection Service, Secret Service and U. S. Marshals. The FBI and IRS also have agents in Vancouver. The Federal Investigative Center acts as the clearinghouse for federal prosecution in the southwestern counties and evaluates the need for additional federal resources.
