ILLEGAL ALIEN SENTENCED FOR
FALSE STATEMENT ON A PASSPORT APPLICATION AND ILLEGAL USE OF A
SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER
SEBANIA ICAL-ICAL, age 26, a citizen of Guatemala, was sentenced yesterday in federal court by U. S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon to six (6) months imprisonment, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Fallon ordered that ICAL be placed on two (2) years of supervised release following the term of imprisonment, during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risks an additional term of imprisonment should he violate any terms of his supervised release.
According to court documents, on December 1, 2011, ICAL, an illegal alien, pled guilty to a two-count indictment charging him with for making a false statement in a passport application and for misuse of a social security number
The case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations. The case was prosecuted by Special Assistant United States Attorney Joe La Rocca.
