SIX DEFENDANTS SENTENCED IN DRUG CONSPIRACY
TREMELL ARMSTEAD, age 32; JEFFERY G. TERRANCE, age 35; HERBERT KEYS, III, age 35; BRANDON E. TURNER, age 32; and MARLON WILLIAMS, age 34; all residents of New Orleans, Louisiana; as well as LATOYA JORDAN, age 29, a resident of Houston, Texas, were sentenced yesterday before U. S. District Court Judge Ginger Berrigan for violations of the Federal Controlled Substances Act involving the trafficking of heroin, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
TREMELL ARMSTEAD was sentenced to 15 years (180 months) incarceration and five (5) years of supervised release.
JEFFERY G. TERRANCE was sentenced to 10 years (120 months) incarceration and five (5) years of supervised release.
HERBERT KEYS, III was sentenced to over 8 years (100 months) incarceration and eight (8) years of supervised release.
BRANDON E. TURNER was sentenced to over 5 years (70 months) incarceration and four (4) years of supervised release.
MARLON WILLIAMS was sentenced to 5 years (60 months) incarceration and three (3) years of supervised release.
LATOYA JORDAN was sentenced to six (6) months incarceration followed by one (1) year of home confinement and three (3) years of supervised release.
The case was investigated by Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorneys W. Scott Laragy and Kevin Boitmann.
