Marvin Jerome Fasthorse Found Guilty in U.S. Federal Court

Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on December 30, 2009, in Great Falls, after a 2-day federal district court trial before U.S. District Judge Sam E. Haddon, MARVIN JEROME FASTHORSE, a 45-year-old resident of Poplar, was found guilty of sexual abuse. Sentencing is set for April 8, 2010. He is currently detained.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Marcia K. Hurd prosecuted the case for the United States.

FASTHORSE faces possible penalties of life in prison, a $250,000 fine and lifetime supervision.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
