2 Total miscellaneous closings under such categories as "request withdrawn," "duplicate request," and "unprocessed." "Unprocessed" for 1978 are approximately 1,575. For some components an existing backlog is increased by these additional "unprocessed" requests.
3 The 1977 report did not include requests completed which were received in prior years. This resulted in an understatement of the PA statistics in 1977. Two components were able to "pick up" these statistics. Tax reported 33; BOP reported 53. These figures are not included in the above statistics.
