1 In addition, the Civil Rights Division denied access to records in 6 instances based on a prohibition of disclosure issued by the U.S. District Court in New Jersey in an employment discrimination matter. The case establishing the principle of Federal agency deference to a protective order issued by a court is GTE Sylvania, Inc. v. Consumers Union, 455 U.S. 375 (1980).
