ATTORNEY GENERAL JANET RENO PLEDGES "JUSTICE FOR ALL" ON LAW DAY
Video of Attorney General's Remarks Available Online In a First For DOJ Web Site

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In observance of Law Day on May 1, Attorney General Janet Reno is urging Americans to join her in supporting efforts to realize our Nation's pledge of "justice for all." The U.S. legal system depends on the confidence of every citizen. While most Americans have faith in our system of justice, too many think that it does not give adequate support to crime victims, and that it treats the wealthy differently from the poor.

Recognizing this, the Justice Department is making available to millions on the Internet the Attorney General's commitment to ensure justice for all Americans. In her remarks, the Attorney General highlights the work of the United States Attorneys and others at the Justice Department to help provide "justice for all."

A video of Reno's Law Day remarks, as well as the audio and text format, can be viewed by visiting the department's World Wide Web site. This video is the first of its kind to appear on the DOJ home page, and it reflects the department's ongoing commitment to using technology to make justice more accessible to all Americans.

To see and hear Reno's pledge to make justice for all Americans a reality, go to www.usdoj.gov and click on "What's New and Hot," then on "New Additions." (Real Player software is required to execute the video; a free version of the software can be downloaded from the Real Player Web site.)
