Dear Mr. Zwick,
I am a taxpayer and have been in a committed relationship for 10 years that
is identical to my brother's marriage in every way, except that the federal
government recognizes his relationship and not mine. It's not fair to grant
monetary benefits from the Federal treasury to different citizens
differently.
I hope you will not compound the tragedy of the events of September 11th, by
denying same sex partners and children of gay and lesbian victims the same
benefits everyone one else will receive. Let's join the countries that are
joining us in the war against terrorism and recognize same sex relationships.
