Comments on Victims Compensation

I am very concerned about the fact that the Government will provide compensation to victims of the September 11, 2001 disaster. While this was the utmost invasion of US soil by terrorist, I am very concerned that the government will not take into consideration all the facts. First of all the victims families should be compensated to the fullest. The companies that employed known victims should be the first to make sure families of the victims are taken care of. The Red Cross is also involved in this process I am told. I however do not know the full involvement of the Red Cross.

There will surely be law suits against parties. The law suits should move forward and just compensation given.

My point is that the Government should be very careful and let the just and normal compensation by employers and outcomes of lawsuits take place before a fund established by Congress be used for compensation. This was a great tragedy. There is no denying that. However be ever vigilant of what is happening and do not throw money at something that will be taken care of in a prudent manner.
