Comments sought on victim fund
The neediest should come first. Orphans, Widows and Widowers with
children and low incomes. People who have been put in a desperate
position due to Sept. 11th. People who have lost their jobs and cannot
support themselves or pay their bills. The ones who need the
necessities of life. Then if there is more money, distribute it
according to what the fund will allow to try and compensate people.
Give them welfare and food stamps to help. Allow the bill collectors
to only collect on interest until the people can get on their feet
again. And don't let it go against their credit. Help them to find
jobs.
Proof of neediness is probably essential or there could be corruption.
Like what happened in CA. after the 1994 earthquake. Illegal aliens
were collecting money and goods while the homeowners were left to
struggle in a lot of cases. Many of the people walked away from their
properties and it became a ghetto over night. I was one who had to
sell at a fraction of the price because my company moved me to another
state. Luckily, the lender forgave the loan. However, after six years,
it still shows up on my credit. Things like this should be considered.
Thanks,
