I can't believe that I am a citizen of a country where we are still so homophobic that we would rather give compensation to illegal aliens, who were effected by the terrorist attacks on 9/11, than to homosexual domestice partners of those effected. I am not against illegal or legal aliens of this country being compensated for their losses. I am however very against the fact that our country will not help compensate the life partners of those who died because they are homosexual. Even though there isn't gay marriage in the United States doesn't mean that the loved one of the homosexuals shouldn't be helped in some way.

Will we ever learn that this country was based on freedom for all. Freedom for all means equal rights for all. We still aren't there, and it saddens me.
